We are disciples of Yeshua of Nazareth, the promised Messiah, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. We look forward to the return of the Messiah and the resurrection of the dead. We honor all of God’s holy written word…the Torah, the Prophets, and the writings, as well as the Gospels and the Apostolic letters. One of the reasons we observe Shavuot is to remember the joyous celebration of the wheat harvest in ancient Israel. It is the day on which we prayed for a blessing on our harvest. Although most of us do not have crops to harvest, the Scripture gives us lessons on how we can increase the joy of the feast.
